The
Villages Town Squares
There
are three town squares in The Villages, Florida. They
completed the new "Brownwood", which is
south of 466A. It is filling up with restaurants and
retail stores.The two other squares are called Spanish
Springs and Lake Sumter Landing. As you can see these
town squares very quaint and it gives you a good feeling
to just strool the streets.
Brownwood
The
Villages' Brownwood Paddock Square has become
the most active of all the town squares when the dancing
starts at 6:00pm.
The Villages newest shopping and entertainment center
on Januray 2, 2013. Brownwood Paddock Square's theater
, a restaurant and severla shops are now open. The
Brownwoord Villages' new retail and commercial hub,
is starting to take shape on the south end of the
enormous retiree retreat.
The Barnstorm Theater started showing movies the
first business to open in the complex off State Road
44. The first restaurant City Fire American Oven &
Bar, which has been serving its eclectic menu ranging
from flatbreads to French dip, is open until late
every night. City Fire also has a restaurant at Lake
Sumter Landing Market Square.
More eateries ¡X Gator's Dockside, Gators, TooJay,
Five Guys Burgers and Fries and World of Beer opened.
Brownwood has about 1.3 million square feet of retail
space and more than 14,000 square feet of office space.
Brownwood will have a 200-room hotel and a 300-bed
hospital, but it's unclear when those will be built,
Wildwood is getting a spillover as well from the
people living and renting near Brownwood.
Lake
Sumter Landing
The town center of Lake Sumter Landing as a large
clock. If you look up on the yellow building, there
is a LIVE webcam that runs 24 hours a day. You can
be anywhere in the world and log on to check out what
is going on at the Landing!
The
nightly entertainment is from 5pm to 9pm. In addition
there are lots of car shows, parades, and vendor nights
on the town squares. There is always something going
on in the town squares.
Spanish
Springs
Spanish
Springs was the first town square built. This square
has a Spanish theme and that is why it has this name.
It is located North of Hwy 466. It has a waterfall
on one side, a dance floor and entertainment pavilion,
and ample space to sit and visit, or enjoy the nightly
entertainment. The entertainment runs from 5pm to
9pm. every night. There is a drink shack on the corner
to enjoy beverages.
